Early registration for our spring 2023 semester is now open.
Classes will begin Tuesday, January 10th and will continue for the following twelve Tuesdays with the last class on Tuesday, March 28th.
Early Registration starts now and will END Tuesday, December 6th
Regular Registration will remain open until Tuesday, January 3rd or until full.
Early Registration Family Membership fees:
Lead Teacher-$30 You plan and teach the class content; we assign an assistant for you. If you are unsure of what class might be good to offer, check with us.
Co-Lead Teacher-$40. You and another mom decide to plan and teach together. Alternatively, if you want to co-teach, we can find a partner for you.
New Families ONLY-$50. If you are new to co-op, you are not expected to teach your first or second semester. We will assign you to be an assistant in a class. Of course, you are more than welcome to lead or co-teach and move into that pricing tier if you so desire! Just let us know.
After December 6th, the Registration Fee will increase to $65 for everyone.

GRADES K-2
First Period:
Famous People from American History (Ross/Walton) — Come join us on a walk through history! We will talk about famous people from American History and do an activity, craft or game to help the children remember several key facts about that person.
The Fruit of the Spirit (is not a Coconut)! (Owens) — Only a healthy tree produces good fruit. Colossians 1:10 says, “that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God…” In this class, kids will learn about the 9 fruits of the Spirit found in Galatians 5 through living books, hands-on activities, Bible verses, songs, crafts, snacks, Bible stories, art and games. It’s gonna be as fun as a giant fruit salad!
Second Period:
Aesop’s Fables (Koz/King) — In this class we will read and discuss stories told by Aesop, an ancient storyteller. We will explore the Biblical moral lesson taught in each story and study the animals featured in each tale.
How To Make an Apple Pie and See the World (Little) — This class will be based on the book by Marjorie Priceman. Since the market is closed we will have to travel the world to find the ingredients for our pie. We will study geography, learn how different foods are grown and harvested, make crafts, throw in some math (graphing, measuring, etc..) and of course make an apple pie. Class Fee $5
GRADES 3-5
First Period:
Ancient Egypt (Whitsel/Barr) — Come cruise down the Nile with us! Learn about Ancient Egypt through history, crafts, experiments, and more!
Around the World – Festivals and Holidays (Stewart/Hughes) — Join us as we experience holidays/festivals through world geography, history, and crafts!
Second Period:
Forgotten Inventors (Payne) — Put on your creative, inventive hats! In this class, we will study great inventors that are not super famous, and yet their inventions are familiar things we frequently use. We will do many hands-on activities and try to recreate some of their inventions as well.
Mindful Moments in Nature (Schmidt/Boley) — All around us, nature is working wonders; but it is not always easy to see them. In this class we will slow down to explore the wonders of everyday creation in nature all around us. $5 class fee
GRADES 6+
First period:
Games (Little) — Students will enjoy a period of playing card and board games together.
Op Art (Kise) — Optical Art is a genre of visual art in which line, space, color and rhythm are used to design compositions with optical illusions. Come join us as we take a look at some of the Op Art masters and as we make art by trying 8-10 of these Op Art projects in increasing difficulty (but not too difficult!). $10 materials fee
Model Car Building (Steinmetz) — Come and build a model car with us. Each week we will work on putting it together piece by piece. We will customize it the way you want and paint it at the end. Please bring to class any model kit that can be finished in 12 weeks time. Materials will be provided, but the kit must be selected and purchased by each participant.
Second Period:
Music Appreciation (Smith) — In this class you will learn the basics of music, how to read music, and how awesome the world of music can be. This is not a performance class, although there will be some singing and some rhythm playing.
Introduction to Basic ASL (American Sign Language) (Quigg) — We will talk about the who, what, where, when, why and how we can apply and use sign language. This course will cover finger-spelling, counting 1-100, basic vocabulary, and maybe a song or two, as we learn to communicate with classmates using sign language.
We Saved You A Seat! (Kise/Barr) — We invite you to join us as we discuss “how to create, invest in, and keep lifelong friendships.” Based on a book by Lisa Jo Baker, we will explore topics such as forgiveness, encouragement, leadership, comparison, performance and perfection, humility and confidence, and navigating our social media-driven culture. This class is intended for girls grade six and up. Instead of a class fee to buy the book, please purchase the book on your own before class starts. Yearbook (Deppe) — Grades 8 and UP only. The goal of this class is to produce a yearbook for our Co-op. The students will use and develop skills in planning, photography, journalism, and teamwork in order to accomplish the basic task of yearbook production. There will be some outside of class time required and all students enrolling in this class must commit to performing task as assigned. Additionally, access to a computer is required in order to complete layout assignments.
