Spring 2010 Registration

Registration is now open for the January, 2010 semester. If you participated in Co-Op this fall, we do NOT need paperwork for you– unless you’ve had a change of information (address, phone, etc.).

As you may know, we have a graduated system of discounts available for our members. Our Basic Family Membership is $45 per family per semester. We offer a $5 discount for early registration (payment and registration forms received by December 15th, 2009) as well as a $10 discount for Co-Lead Teachers and a $20 discount for Lead Teachers. In order to qualify for one of the teaching discounts, you must have a confirmed teaching spot with us prior to making your payment. Please email us if you are interested in teaching a class and we will let you know what areas have openings. All of our parents are required to either teach or assist during both periods each week.

You can either pay by check (made out to SHHC) or use the Paypal links on the sidebar. If you use Paypal, please be aware that a small additional charge (shows up as ‘shipping’) has been included to cover the Paypal transaction fees.
If you are new to SHHCo-Op (or have been inactive for more than 1 semester), you can download the registration forms from the links on the sidebar and mail them along with your registration fee. If you need our address, please send an email us to southhallhomeschoolco-op@hotmail.com.
Registration for classes will begin sometime in the week of January 4th, after membership registration has closed. We will be offering classes for the following age groups: preschool, K-1st grade, K-3rd, 2nd/3rd, and 4th and up.

Calling all Teachers (and potential Teachers!!)

Check out the new link on the right sidebar for a complete listing of classes we’ve offered through SHHC from 2006-2009. Hopefully these ideas will spark some ideas for you as you consider what you’d be interested in teaching this fall.
Also, be sure to check out this post for additional ideas.
Google is another great resource for researching classes offered at other Co-ops.

Christmas Party & Bartering Market

Our Christmas Party & Bartering Market will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd at 2:30.

We will do the Market first (in the Commons building) followed by refreshments in the basement of the Chapel.

If your child/family will be participating in the market, please bring 15-20 items for them to ‘barter’. We will give everyone a chance to see what ‘goods’ are available prior to beginning the actual bartering.

Please bring a plate of Christmas goodies (cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc.) to share.

We are looking forward to this event! Hope to see you there!

P.S. Don’t forget to bring your Spring registration $$ in order to get the discounted membership rate!

Registration Reminder

If you have not yet signed up for the Fall 2008 session of Co-Op, you still have a few days to do so. Registration will close after July 31, 2008 for the upcoming semester. You need to pay and have your registration documents completed (and to Sara– by mail or email) by this date.
Although we do not start classes until after Labor Day, we need this time to finalize the class options, allow members to choose their classes and get class lists to the teachers so that they have time to gather sufficient supplies. If you have any questions that you still need answered, please email us at southhallhomeschoolcoop@hotmail.com and either Sara or myself will be happy to help you out.
More details will be posted soon about our “Moms Night Out” in August– but go ahead and mark your calendars for the evening of the 14th so you can plan to be there.
We are excited about the Fall session of Co-Op!
